ImageAfter her win at the Junior equivalent of the Eastbourne tournament, Laura Robson got some valuable grasscourt experience that she has translated into Roehampton. The 14-year old easily made her way into the semifinals, losing only 3 games against compatriot Naomi Broady. Girls top seed seed Melanie Oudin continued her rampage through the tournament with another simple win.

Ramirez ousted in Roehampton

And then there were 3, on both sides. Mexican Cesar Ramirez was one of the 2 seeds that went out of the third round of the Roehampton tournament. With 7th seed Cedrik-Marcel Stebe also going out, only 3 seeded players remain, 8th seed Alexei Grigorov is the highest. The girls tournament continued among the same road as the boys, also losing 2 more seeds, 6th seed Johanna Konta and 7th seed Jessy Rompies. Top seed Melanie Oudin continued her strong run with an easy win.

With a great chance to reach the second round of a Grand Slam besides the US Open, Donald Young fell just short. Against Jesse Levine, a player that Young beat 4 times in the past, the American lost in 4 sets.
