 Paraguay native Veronica Cepede-Royg followed up last week’s victory at the Raquette d’Or with another victory at the Mediterranee Avenir. The boys tournament got a surprising winner in unseeded Portugese Miguel Almeida. Cepede defeated 2nd seed Alja Tomljanovic and Almeida took care of business against Egyptian Karim-Mohamed Maamoun. |

Boluda continues rampant form |

 15-year old Spaniard Carlos Boluda continued his excellent form into the semifinals of the Mediterranee Avenir with another 2 easy wins. The young prodigy has now won 8 matches in a row and looks set to win the first Grade 1-title of his Junior career. In the girls tournament top seed Elena Chernyakova lost out to 5th seed Silvia Njiric and with 2nd seed Alja Tomljanovic still in the tournament, an all-Croatian final beckons. |
