With only 2 players remaining in the boys and girls draw British hopes had gotten slimmer and slimmer and after the third round, all hopes were gone. The loss of British boy Tom Farquharson to 3rd seed Bernard Tomic was hardly surprising; the defeat of 2nd seed Laura Robson will have sent shockwaves through the girls draw. Robson had to fight off solidly playing Dutch girl Quirine Lemoine and a back spasm, which seemed to worsen as the match wore on. |

 Like most of the year, the boys seeds have been falling like flies at the Junior tournament of Wimbledon. 5 seeds tumbled out of the second round, leaving only 4 seeds behind in the draw. The highest seeded casualty was 6th seed Gianni Mina (photo right, courtesy of Susan Mullane), the runner up of the Roland Garros Junior tournament. The 4 seeds remaining the draw are top seed Daniel Berta, 3rd seed Bernard Tomic, 4th seed Agustin Velotti and 9th seed Dominik Schulz. Roehampton winner Devin Britton is also still alive in the tournament, defeating New Zealander Sebastian Lavie. |
